We went to the beach last weekend, Mustang Island to be exact. It was Enrique, me, Capri, Andrea, Michael, Paden, Liam, Val and Homer. We rented a condo for the weekend do we could stay on the beach.
We got there Friday around 6ish and went to go eat in Port Aransas. After dinner we went back to the condo and out to the beach we waded in the water until we couldn't see anymore. Val and Homer didn't arrive until about 11 PM.
In the morning all the guys left at 7 to go fishing on a boat for 5 hours. They actually never caught anything. They said out of the 65 people on the boat only about 5 people caught anything. Not very good odds.
While the guys went fishing, we went into town to shop at James Avery and, of course, Target. At James Avery we got Anchor rings in support of Roberto, who is in the navy. After our shopping we headed back to the condo, ate some lunch and headed to the beach. It was only Capri's second time to be by the ocean, the first being the weekend before. She seemed to do a lot better this time. We got her a foam floaty-like device that went around her tummy and back so she seemed to do fine with it.
The guys came down to the beach around 2. They had stopped at a beach store to get skim boards. Paden was the only one who knew how to use them. Michael and Enrique were trying so hard but never quite got it.
After they had tried to no avail, Enrique decided to go back to the beach store and get body boards so we could all go out and ride the waves. Now those were a good investment. I would recommend body boards to whoever is going to the beach.
In the evening we went to a nice seafood restaurant in Port A and then we all zonked out at the condo.
Sunday was a low key day. We went to church at Port A and went to the public beach there.
All in all it was a great trip. I only took a few photos on my phone. So I'll post those. Can't wait to go back to the beach this summer.
